महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-58, verse-9

स रश्मिभिरिवादित्यः प्रतपन्समरे बली ।
किरीटमाली कौन्तेयः सर्वान्प्राच्छादयत्कुरून् ॥९॥
9. sa raśmibhirivādityaḥ pratapansamare balī ,
kirīṭamālī kaunteyaḥ sarvānprācchādayatkurūn.

9. Like the sun (ādityaḥ) with its rays (raśmibhiḥ), that powerful (balī) Kaunteya, adorned with a diadem and a garland (kirīṭamālī), shone brilliantly (pratapan) in battle (samare) and completely overwhelmed all the Kurus.
