महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-30, verse-4

गजेन्द्रैश्च तथैवान्ये केचिदुष्ट्रैर्नराधिप ।
पदातिनस्तथैवान्ये नखरप्रासयोधिनः ॥४॥
4. gajendraiśca tathaivānye keciduṣṭrairnarādhipa ,
padātinastathaivānye nakharaprāsayodhinaḥ.
4. gajendraiḥ ca tathā eva anye kecit uṣṭraiḥ narādhipa
padātinaḥ tathā eva anye nakharaprāsayodhinaḥ
4. narādhipa,
tathā eva anye gajendraiḥ (jagmuḥ) ca kecit uṣṭraiḥ (jagmuḥ).

4. O king of men (narādhipa), similarly, others (went) by lordly elephants, and some by camels. Likewise, other foot-soldiers fought with (fierce) claws and spears.
