You have surely heard of King Hariścandra, the foremost among rulers. Having performed Vedic rituals (yajña), he became virtuous and free from sorrow. Though merely human, he conquered Indra by his great prosperity. Therefore, everything should indeed be dedicated to the Vedic ritual (yajña).
