Indeed, 'death' (mṛtyu) is two-syllabled, whereas 'Brahman' (brahman) is eternal and three-syllabled. The thought 'mine' (mama iti) truly leads to death (mṛtyu), but 'not mine' (na mama iti) leads to the eternal (brahman).
