महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-11, verse-72

प्रमादाद् भ्रमतोऽज्ञानात् घ्नन्तन्नरमरिन्दमः ।
द्रविणादानतस्तीव्रताडनैस्तं विशोधयेत् ॥७२॥
72. pramādād bhramato'jñānāt ghnantannaramarindamaḥ ,
draviṇādānatastīvratāḍanaistaṁ viśodhayet.

72. O subduer of foes, if someone kills a man out of negligence, confusion, or ignorance, the ruler should purify him by taking his wealth and by inflicting severe beatings.
