उत्तमः पुरुषस्त्वन्यः परमात्मेत्युदाहृतः ।
यो लोकत्रयमाविश्य बिभर्त्यव्यय ईश्वरः ॥१७॥

17. uttamaḥ puruṣastvanyaḥ paramātmetyudāhṛtaḥ ,
yo lokatrayamāviśya bibhartyavyaya īśvaraḥ.

However, there is another, higher Person (puruṣa), who is declared to be the supreme Self (paramātman). He is the imperishable Lord who, entering the three worlds, sustains them.
