योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-135, verse-7

नृत्यत्सु भूतवृन्देषु शिष्टं रक्तं सुरैर्भुवः ।
एकप्रवाहेणैकस्मिन्निक्षिप्तं मकरालये ॥ ७ ॥

7. While the hosts of spirits were dancing, the remaining blood of the earth, collected by the gods, was cast into the ocean, the abode of crocodiles, in a single stream.
