सुरार्णवं तमेवैनं संकल्पं विदधुः सुराः ।
ततःप्रभृति सोऽद्यापि संपन्नो मदिरार्णवः ॥ ८ ॥

tataḥprabhṛti so'dyāpi saṃpanno madirārṇavaḥ 8

8. The gods designated that very ocean as "the ocean of gods." From that time onwards, even today, it has become known as "the ocean of wine."
