वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-101, verse-1

इति प्रतिसमादिष्टो हनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।
प्रविवेश पुरीं लङ्कां पूज्यमानो निशाचरैः ॥१॥
1. iti pratisamādiṣṭo hanūmānmārutātmajaḥ ,
praviveśa purīṃ laṅkāṃ pūjyamāno niśācaraiḥ.

1. Thus commanded, Hanumān, the son of Māruta (the wind-god), entered the city of Laṅkā, even as he was being revered by the night-wanderers (rākṣasas).
