8. brāhmaṇāya pradadyāt tāṃ śāntiṃ vāpi samācaret .

One should give that [buffalo or an equivalent] to a Brahmin, or perform a propitiatory rite (śānti). This includes the worship of Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Maheśa (Śiva), as well as the planets.
