महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-7, verse-7

भीम उवाच ।
नरेन्द्र सूदः परिचारकोऽस्मि ते जानामि सूपान्प्रथमेन केवलान् ।
आस्वादिता ये नृपते पुराभवन्युधिष्ठिरेणापि नृपेण सर्वशः ॥७॥
7. bhīma uvāca ,
narendra sūdaḥ paricārako'smi te; jānāmi sūpānprathamena kevalān ,
āsvāditā ye nṛpate purābhava;nyudhiṣṭhireṇāpi nṛpeṇa sarvaśaḥ.
7. bhīmaḥ uvāca narendra sūdaḥ paricārakaḥ
asmi te jānāmi sūpān prathamena
kevalān āsvāditāḥ ye nṛpate purā
abhavan yudhiṣṭhireṇa api nṛpeṇa sarvaśaḥ
7. Bhīma said: 'O king, I am your cook and servant. I know only how to prepare excellent soups, those, O king, that were formerly tasted thoroughly by King Yudhiṣṭhira himself.'
