महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-257, verse-3

तेषां मध्ये महर्षीणां शृण्वतामनुशोचताम् ।
मार्कण्डेयमिदं वाक्यमब्रवीत्पाण्डुनन्दनः ॥३॥
3. teṣāṁ madhye maharṣīṇāṁ śṛṇvatāmanuśocatām ,
mārkaṇḍeyamidaṁ vākyamabravītpāṇḍunandanaḥ.
3. teṣām madhye maharṣīṇām śṛṇvatām anuśocatām
mārkaṇḍeyam idam vākyam abravīt pāṇḍu-nandanaḥ
3. Among those great sages, who were listening and empathizing, Yudhiṣṭhira, the son of Pāṇḍu, spoke this statement to Mārkaṇḍeya.
