महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-56, verse-4

यश्चित्तमन्वेति परस्य राजन्वीरः कविः स्वामतिपत्य दृष्टिम् ।
नावं समुद्र इव बालनेत्रामारुह्य घोरे व्यसने निमज्जेत् ॥४॥
4. yaścittamanveti parasya rāja;nvīraḥ kaviḥ svāmatipatya dṛṣṭim ,
nāvaṁ samudra iva bālanetrā;māruhya ghore vyasane nimajjet.
4. yaḥ cittam anveti parasya rājan
vīraḥ kaviḥ svām atipatya dṛṣṭim

4. O King, a brave and wise person (kavi) who follows another's thoughts, disregarding his own judgment, will sink into dreadful misfortune, just like someone who boards a boat steered by an inexperienced child and launches it into the ocean.
