अहो देहप्रदानेन दर्शितातिथिपूजना ।
तस्माद्धर्मं चरिष्यामि धर्मो हि परमा गतिः ।
दृष्टो हि धर्मो धर्मिष्ठैर्यादृशो विहगोत्तमे ॥८॥
तस्माद्धर्मं चरिष्यामि धर्मो हि परमा गतिः ।

8. aho dehapradānena darśitātithipūjanā ,
tasmāddharmaṁ cariṣyāmi dharmo hi paramā gatiḥ ,
dṛṣṭo hi dharmo dharmiṣṭhairyādṛśo vihagottame.
tasmāddharmaṁ cariṣyāmi dharmo hi paramā gatiḥ ,

Ah, through the offering of the body, guest-veneration was indeed demonstrated! Therefore, I shall practice my natural law (dharma), for the natural law (dharma) is certainly the supreme goal. Indeed, this natural law (dharma) has been observed by the most righteous (dharmiṣṭhaiḥ) in the excellent bird, just as it is.
