महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-143, verse-10

ततो यष्टिं शलाकाश्च क्षारकं पञ्जरं तथा ।
तांश्च बद्धा कपोतान्स संप्रमुच्योत्ससर्ज ह ॥१०॥
10. tato yaṣṭiṁ śalākāśca kṣārakaṁ pañjaraṁ tathā ,
tāṁśca baddhā kapotānsa saṁpramucyotsasarja ha.

tān ca baddhvā kapotān saḥ sampramucya utsasarja ha

tān baddhvā kapotān ca sampramucya utsasarja ha
10. Then, having tied up the stick, the stakes, the caustic substance (kṣāraka), and the cage (pañjara), he indeed completely released those pigeons (kapota).
