दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-9, verse-10

निशुम्भो निशितं खड्गं चर्म चादाय सुप्रभम् ।
अताडयन्मूर्ध्नि सिंहं देव्या वाहनमुत्तमम् ॥१०॥
10. niśumbho niśitaṃ khaḍgaṃ carma cādāya suprabham .
atāḍayanmūrdhni siṃhaṃ devyā vāhanamuttamam.
10. niśumbhaḥ niśitam khaḍgam carma ca ādāya suprabham
atāḍayat mūrdhni siṃham devyāḥ vāhanam uttamam
10. Niśumbha, having taken his sharp sword and splendid shield, struck the lion, the excellent vehicle of the Goddess, on the head.
