दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-7, verse-1

ऋषिरुवाच ।
आज्ञप्तास्ते ततो दैत्याश्चण्डमुण्डपुरोगमाः ।
चतुरङ्गबलोपेता ययुरभ्युद्यतायुधाः ॥१॥
1. ṛṣiruvāca .
ājñaptāste tato daityāścaṇḍamuṇḍapurogamāḥ .
caturaṅgabalopetā yayurabhyudyatāyudhāḥ.
1. ṛṣiḥ uvāca ājñaptāḥ te tataḥ daityāḥ caṇḍamuṇḍapurōgamāḥ
caturaṅgabala upetāḥ yayuḥ abhyudyatāyudhāḥ
1. The seer (ṛṣi) said: Then, having been commanded, those demons, led by Caṇḍa and Muṇḍa, and accompanied by their four-limbed army, went forth with uplifted weapons.
