महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-171, verse-7

कथं मामन्यकामां त्वं राजञ्शास्त्रमधीत्य वै ।
वासयेथा गृहे भीष्म कौरवः सन्विशेषतः ॥७॥
7. kathaṁ māmanyakāmāṁ tvaṁ rājañśāstramadhītya vai ,
vāsayethā gṛhe bhīṣma kauravaḥ sanviśeṣataḥ.
7. katham mām anyakāmām tvam rājan śāstram adhītya
vai vāsayethāḥ gṛhe bhīṣma kauravaḥ san viśeṣataḥ
7. rājan bhīṣma kauravaḥ san,
tvam śāstram adhītya vai,
anyakāmām mām gṛhe katham viśeṣataḥ vāsayethāḥ
7. How can you, O King, O Bhishma, having studied the scriptures (śāstra), keep me in your house, especially when I desire another man, being a Kuru?
