महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-149, verse-9

नाप्राप्तकालो म्रियते विद्धः शरशतैरपि ।
तृणाग्रेणापि संस्पृष्टः प्राप्तकालो न जीवति ॥९॥
9. nāprāptakālo mriyate viddhaḥ śaraśatairapi ,
tṛṇāgreṇāpi saṁspṛṣṭaḥ prāptakālo na jīvati.

9. A person whose appointed time has not come does not die, even if pierced by hundreds of arrows. A person whose appointed time has arrived does not live, even if merely touched by the tip of a blade of grass.
