5. sūta uvāca ,
iti śrutvā vacastasya bhujagasya rurustadā ,
nāvadhīdbhayasaṁvigna ṛṣiṁ matvātha ḍuṇḍubham.

Sūta said: Having heard the words of that serpent, Ruru, agitated by fear, then did not kill the Ḍuṇḍubha, considering him to be a sage.
