महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-10, verse-8

रुरुरुवाच ।
किमर्थं शप्तवान्क्रुद्धो द्विजस्त्वां भुजगोत्तम ।
कियन्तं चैव कालं ते वपुरेतद्भविष्यति ॥८॥
8. rururuvāca ,
kimarthaṁ śaptavānkruddho dvijastvāṁ bhujagottama ,
kiyantaṁ caiva kālaṁ te vapuretadbhaviṣyati.
8. ruruḥ uvāca kimartham śaptavān kruddhaḥ dvijaḥ tvām bhujaga
uttama kiyantam ca eva kālam te vapuḥ etat bhaviṣyati
8. Ruru said: "O best of serpents, why did that enraged Brahmin curse you? And for how long will this body be yours?"
