वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-16, verse-7

ते तथोक्ता भगवता तत् प्रतिश्रुत्य शासनम् ।
जनयामासुरेवं ते पुत्रान् वानररूपिणः ॥७॥
7. te tathoktā bhagavatā tat pratiśrutya śāsanam ,
janayāmāsurevaṃ te putrān vānararūpiṇaḥ.

| janayāmāsuḥ evam te putrān vānararūpiṇaḥ
7. bhagavatā tathā uktāḥ te tat śāsanam pratiśrutya,

7. Having been thus addressed by the revered lord and assenting to that command, they (the gods) accordingly gave birth to sons in the form of monkeys.
