महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-48, verse-8

अमी रामह्रदाः पञ्च दृश्यन्ते पार्थ दूरतः ।
येषु संतर्पयामास पूर्वान्क्षत्रियशोणितैः ॥८॥
8. amī rāmahradāḥ pañca dṛśyante pārtha dūrataḥ ,
yeṣu saṁtarpayāmāsa pūrvānkṣatriyaśoṇitaiḥ.

8. O Pārtha, those five lakes of Rāma are seen from a distance, in which he (Paraśurāma) appeased his ancestors with the blood of Kṣatriyas.
