महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-174, verse-9

मातृषष्ठास्तु ते तेन गुरुणा संगतास्तदा ।
नाथवन्तमिवात्मानं मेनिरे भरतर्षभाः ॥९॥
9. mātṛṣaṣṭhāstu te tena guruṇā saṁgatāstadā ,
nāthavantamivātmānaṁ menire bharatarṣabhāḥ.
9. mātṛṣaṣṭāḥ tu te tena guruṇā saṅgatāḥ tadā
nāthavantam iva ātmānam menire bharatarṣabhāḥ
9. Indeed, those Pāṇḍavas, with their mother as the sixth, having then been united with that preceptor (guru), considered themselves as if having a protector.
