महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-10, verse-97

शुक्लां चतुर्थीमारभ्य शुभकर्माणि साधयेत् ।
असितां पञ्चमीं यावत् विधिरेष शिवोदितः ॥९७॥
97. śuklāṁ caturthīmārabhya śubhakarmāṇi sādhayet ,
asitāṁ pañcamīṁ yāvat vidhireṣa śivoditaḥ.

asitāṃ pañcamīṃ yāvat vidhiḥ eṣa śivoditaḥ
97. śuklāṃ caturthīm ārabhya asitāṃ pañcamīṃ yāvat śubhakarmāṇi sādhayet,
eṣa vidhiḥ śivoditaḥ
97. Starting from the bright fourth lunar day up to the dark fifth lunar day, one should perform auspicious actions. This rule has been uttered by Shiva.
