महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-10, verse-48

दत्त्वा पिण्डमपिण्डेभ्यो मन्त्राभ्यां सुरवन्दिते ।
प्रक्षाल्य हस्तावाचान्तः सावित्रीं प्रजपंस्ततः ।
देवताभ्यस्त्रिधा जप्त्वा मण्डलानि प्रकल्पयेत् ॥४८॥
48. dattvā piṇḍamapiṇḍebhyo mantrābhyāṁ suravandite ,
prakṣālya hastāvācāntaḥ sāvitrīṁ prajapaṁstataḥ ,
devatābhyastridhā japtvā maṇḍalāni prakalpayet.

48. O you who are praised by the gods (suravandite), having offered a rice ball to those who have no lineage or offerings (apiṇḍebhyaḥ), having washed your hands and sipped water, then, while silently reciting the Sāvitrī mantra, and having repeated it threefold to the deities, you should create the maṇḍalas.
