दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-4, verse-18

एभिर्हतैर्जगदुपैति सुखं तथैते कुर्वन्तु नाम नरकाय चिराय पापम् ।
संग्राममृत्युमधिगम्य दिवं प्रयान्तु मत्वेति नूनमहितान् विनिहंसि देवि ॥१८॥
18. ebhirhatairjagadupaiti sukhaṃ tathaite kurvantu nāma narakāya cirāya pāpam .
saṃgrāmamṛtyumadhigamya divaṃ prayāntu matveti nūnamahitān vinihaṃsi devi.
18. ebhiḥ hataiḥ jagat upaiti sukham tathā
ete kurvantu nāma narakāya cirāya pāpam
saṃgrāma mṛtyum adhigamya divam prayāntu
matvā iti nūnam ahitān vinihaṃsi devi
18. By the killing of these (demons), the world attains happiness. And let these (demons) indeed commit sin (pāpam) for a long time, leading to hell (naraka); (but) let them attain death in battle and proceed to heaven (divam). Thinking thus, O Goddess, you certainly destroy these enemies.
