भगवद्गीता       bhagavad-gītā - chapter-17, verse-24

तस्मादोमित्युदाहृत्य यज्ञदानतपःक्रियाः ।
प्रवर्तन्ते विधानोक्ताः सततं ब्रह्मवादिनाम् ॥२४॥
24. tasmādomityudāhṛtya yajñadānatapaḥkriyāḥ ,
pravartante vidhānoktāḥ satataṁ brahmavādinām.

24. Therefore, having pronounced "Om", the actions of sacrifice (yajña), giving (dāna), and austerity (tapas), which are prescribed by sacred texts, are always commenced by those who are conversant with the ultimate reality (brahman).
