अफलाकाङ्क्षिभिर्यज्ञो विधिदृष्टो य इज्यते ।
यष्टव्यमेवेति मनः समाधाय स सात्त्विकः ॥११॥

That Vedic ritual (yajña) which is performed according to scriptural injunctions, by those who do not desire its fruits, and with the mind fixed on the conviction that 'it must be performed,' is considered to be of the nature of goodness (sattva).
