राशयोऽभिमुखं विप्र तथा पश्यन्ति पार्श्वभे ।
यथा चरः स्थिरानेवं स्थिरः पश्यति वै चरान् ॥२॥

2. rāśayo'bhimukhaṃ vipra tathā paśyanti pārśvabhe .
yathā caraḥ sthirānevaṃ sthiraḥ paśyati vai carān.

O brāhmaṇa (vipra), the signs aspect those facing them directly (the 7th house), and also those in the adjacent (4th and 8th) positions. Just as a movable (cara) sign aspects fixed (sthira) signs, similarly, a fixed (sthira) sign indeed aspects movable (cara) signs.
