ततस्तु वामनासायां यं बीजं धूम्रवर्णकम् ।
सञ्जिन्त्य पूरयेत्तेन वायुं षोडशमात्रया ।
तेन पापात्मकं देहं शोषयेत् साधकाग्रणीः ॥१००॥

100. tatastu vāmanāsāyāṁ yaṁ bījaṁ dhūmravarṇakam ,
sañjintya pūrayettena vāyuṁ ṣoḍaśamātrayā ,
tena pāpātmakaṁ dehaṁ śoṣayet sādhakāgraṇīḥ.

100. Then, O goddess, the excellent practitioner should contemplate the seed syllable yaṃ, which is of a smoky color, in the left nostril, and by means of it, fill himself with breath for the duration of sixteen measures, thereby drying up his body which is imbued with sin.
