महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-10, verse-85

सम्बोधनान्तं तद्गोत्रं प्रेताख्यानं समुच्चरन् ।
दत्त्वा पिण्डं प्रेतमुखे दहेद्वह्निमनुं स्मरन् ॥८५॥
85. sambodhanāntaṁ tadgotraṁ pretākhyānaṁ samuccaran ,
dattvā piṇḍaṁ pretamukhe dahedvahnimanuṁ smaran.

piṇḍam pretamukhe dattvā vahnimanum smaran dahet
85. Uttering its lineage ending with a vocative name and the designation of the deceased, placing a pindam at the mouth of the corpse, and remembering the fire-mantra, one should cremate it.
