ऋषिरुवाच ।
ततः प्रववृते युद्धं देव्याः शुम्भस्य चोभयोः ।
पश्यतां सर्वदेवानामसुराणां च दारुणम् ॥६॥

6. ṛṣiruvāca .
tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ devyāḥ śumbhasya cobhayoḥ .
paśyatāṃ sarvadevānāmasurāṇāṃ ca dāruṇam.
tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ devyāḥ śumbhasya cobhayoḥ .

The sage said: Then, a dreadful battle commenced between the Goddess and Shumbha, witnessed by all the gods and asuras.
