दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-10, verse-14

अश्वांश्च पातयामास रथं सारथिना सह ।
हताश्वः स तदा दैत्यश्छिन्नधान्वा विसारथिः ।
जग्राह मुद्गरं घोरमम्बिकानिधनोद्यतः ॥१४॥
14. aśvāṃśca pātayāmāsa rathaṃ sārathinā saha .
hatāśvaḥ sa tadā daityaśchinnadhānvā visārathiḥ .
jagrāha mudgaraṃ ghoramambikānidhanodyataḥ.
14. aśvān ca pātayāmāsa ratham sārathinā
saha hatāśvaḥ sa tadā daityaḥ
chinnadhānvā visārathiḥ jagrāha
mudgaram ghoram ambikānidhanodyataḥ
14. She struck down the horses, along with the chariot and its charioteer. Then, that demon, whose horses were slain, whose bow was broken, and who was without a charioteer, seized a dreadful mace, ready to slay Ambikā.
