ततः खड्गमुपादाय शतचन्द्रं च भानुमत् ।
अभ्यधावत्तदा देवीं दैत्यानामधिपेश्वरः ॥१२॥

Then, taking up a sword (khaḍga) adorned with a hundred (moon-like) discs and shining brightly, the chief lord of the demons (daityānām adhipeśvaraḥ) rushed towards the Goddess (devī).
