भगवद्गीता       bhagavad-gītā - chapter-40, verse-56

तेषु जातेषु वृद्धेषु गतेषु परमां गतिम् ।
अब्रवीद्भारतं लोके मानुषेऽस्मिन्महानृषिः ॥५६॥
56. teṣu jāteṣu vṛddheṣu gateṣu paramāṁ gatim ,
abravīdbhārataṁ loke mānuṣe'sminmahānṛṣiḥ.
56. teṣu jāteṣu vṛddheṣu gateṣu paramām gatim
abravīt bhāratam loke mānuṣe asmin mahānṛṣiḥ
56. When they were born, had grown old, and had attained the supreme state (i.e., passed away), the great sage narrated the Mahabharata in this human world.
