विस्तीर्यैतन्महज्ज्ञानमृषिः संक्षेपमब्रवीत् ।
इष्टं हि विदुषां लोके समासव्यासधारणम् ॥४९॥

49. vistīryaitanmahajjñānamṛṣiḥ saṁkṣepamabravīt ,
iṣṭaṁ hi viduṣāṁ loke samāsavyāsadhāraṇam.

Having elaborated this profound knowledge, the sage then presented it concisely. For, among the learned in the world, the comprehension of both concise and elaborate presentations is indeed favored.
