वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-41, verse-5

तस्यास्फोटितशब्देन महता श्रोत्रघातिना ।
पेतुर्विहंगा गगनादुच्चैश्चेदमघोषयत् ॥५॥
5. tasyāsphoṭitaśabdena mahatā śrotraghātinā ,
peturvihaṃgā gaganāduccaiścedamaghoṣayat.

petuḥ vihaṃgā gaganāt uccaiḥ ca idam aghoṣayat

5. Due to the mighty, ear-splitting sound of his roar, birds fell from the sky, and he loudly proclaimed the following:
