महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-89, verse-11

श्राद्धं त्वभिजिता कुर्वन्विद्यां श्रेष्ठामवाप्नुयात् ।
श्रवणे तु ददच्छ्राद्धं प्रेत्य गच्छेत्परां गतिम् ॥११॥
11. śrāddhaṁ tvabhijitā kurvanvidyāṁ śreṣṭhāmavāpnuyāt ,
śravaṇe tu dadacchrāddhaṁ pretya gacchetparāṁ gatim.
11. śrāddham tu abhijitā kurvan vidyām śreṣṭhām avāpnuyāt

11. Indeed, by performing the ancestral ritual (śrāddha) during Abhijit, one would obtain the highest knowledge. And by offering the ancestral ritual (śrāddha) in Śravaṇa (nakṣatra), after death, one would attain the supreme state.
