महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-13, verse-6

तस्माद्वाक्कायमनसा नाचरेदशुभं नरः ।
शुभाशुभान्याचरन्हि तस्य तस्याश्नुते फलम् ॥६॥
6. tasmādvākkāyamanasā nācaredaśubhaṁ naraḥ ,
śubhāśubhānyācaranhi tasya tasyāśnute phalam.
6. tasmāt vākkāyamanasā na ācaret aśubham naraḥ
śubhāśubhāni ācaran hi tasya tasya aśnute phalam
6. naraḥ tasmāt vākkāyamanasā aśubham na ācaret hi
śubhāśubhāni ācaran tasya tasya phalam aśnute
6. Therefore, a person should not commit unwholesome acts through speech, body, or mind. Indeed, by performing both wholesome and unwholesome acts, one experiences the fruit of each (karma).
