महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-18, verse-3

विनतोवाच ।
श्वेत एवाश्वराजोऽयं किं वा त्वं मन्यसे शुभे ।
ब्रूहि वर्णं त्वमप्यस्य ततोऽत्र विपणावहे ॥३॥
3. vinatovāca ,
śveta evāśvarājo'yaṁ kiṁ vā tvaṁ manyase śubhe ,
brūhi varṇaṁ tvamapyasya tato'tra vipaṇāvahe.
3. vinataḥ uvāca śvetaḥ eva aśvarājaḥ ayam kim vā tvam manyase
śubhe brūhi varṇam tvam api asya tataḥ atra vipaṇāvahe
3. Vinatā said: "Is this king of horses (aśvarāja) indeed white? Or what do you think, fair one? You too declare its color, and then we shall wager here."
