आगमोक्तेन मार्गेण तर्पयेदलिबिन्दुभिः ।
अङ्गुष्ठानामिकाभ्याञ्च नखे निःसृतमूर्ध्वतः ।
स्वपात्रस्पन्दनिस्यन्दं विधिवत् कुलनायिके ॥९५॥

95. O mistress of the kula, according to the path declared in the scriptures, one should perform tarpana with bindus and alis, [offering] methodically that which flows upward from the nail using the thumb and the ring finger, which is the pulsing and flowing of one's own vessel.
