शक्तिसिद्धिसुसिद्ध्यर्थं परीक्ष्य विधिवद् गुरुः ।
पश्चादुपदिशेन्मन्त्रमन्यथा निष्फलं भवेत् ॥९॥

9. For the perfect attainment of spiritual power, the teacher should duly examine (the disciple) and only then teach the mantra. Otherwise, it would be fruitless.
