कुलार्णव-तन्त्रम्       kulārṇava-tantram - chapter-14, verse-15

कृत्वा समयदीक्षाञ्च दत्त्वा समयपादुकाम् ।
सन्निधायात्मनः शिष्यं वदेन्मन्त्रं न चान्यथा ॥१५॥
15. kṛtvā samayadīkṣāñca dattvā samayapādukām ,
sannidhāyātmanaḥ śiṣyaṁ vadenmantraṁ na cānyathā.
15. kṛtvā samayadīkṣām ca dattvā samayapādukām sannidhāya
ātmanaḥ śiṣyam vadet mantram na ca anyathā
15. samayadīkṣām kṛtvā,
ca samayapādukām dattvā,
ātmanaḥ śiṣyam sannidhāya mantram vadet.

15. Having performed the initiation according to tradition and having bestowed the traditional spiritual protection (pādukā), and having brought the disciple close to oneself, one should then speak the mantra, and not otherwise.
