योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-50, verse-2

कदम्बं रोदसीस्तम्भमारुरोह वनस्थितम् ।
एकार्णवगतं शौरिर्वटवृक्षमिवोन्नतम् ॥ २ ॥
kadambaṃ rodasīstambhamāruroha vanasthitam ,
ekārṇavagataṃ śaurirvaṭavṛkṣamivonnatam 2
2. kadambam rodasī-stambham ārūroha vana-sthitam
eka-arṇava-gatam śauriḥ vaṭa-vṛkṣam iva unnatam
2. ārūroha kadambam vana-sthitam rodasī-stambham iva unnatam
vaṭa-vṛkṣam [yam] śauriḥ eka-arṇava-gatam [dadarśa]
2. He ascended the Kadamba tree, which stood in the forest like a pillar of heaven and earth, [a tree] as lofty as the Banyan tree (vaṭavṛkṣa) found by Śauri (Viṣṇu) in the single primordial ocean.
