महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-4, verse-5

स चाप्यस्मिन्मखे सौते विद्वान्कुलपतिर्द्विजः ।
दक्षो धृतव्रतो धीमाञ्शास्त्रे चारण्यके गुरुः ॥५॥
5. sa cāpyasminmakhe saute vidvānkulapatirdvijaḥ ,
dakṣo dhṛtavrato dhīmāñśāstre cāraṇyake guruḥ.
5. saḥ ca api asmin makhe saute vidvān kulapatiḥ dvijaḥ
dakṣaḥ dhṛtavrataḥ dhīmān śāstre ca āraṇyake guruḥ
5. And he, O Sūta, who is participating in this sacrifice, is a learned brahmin, the esteemed head of his lineage (or institution). He is capable, firm in his vows, intelligent, and a master of the scriptures and the Āraṇyakas.
