महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-14, verse-112

ज्ञानं तत्त्वविचारेण निष्कामेणापि कर्मणा ।
जायते क्षीणतमसां विदुषां निर्मलात्मनाम् ॥११२॥
112. jñānaṁ tattvavicāreṇa niṣkāmeṇāpi karmaṇā ,
jāyate kṣīṇatamasāṁ viduṣāṁ nirmalātmanām.
112. jñānaṃ tattvavicāreṇa niṣkāmeṇa api karmaṇā
jāyate kṣīṇatamasām viduṣām nirmalātmanām
112. tattvavicāreṇa niṣkāmeṇa api karmaṇā ca
kṣīṇatamasām nirmalātmanām viduṣām jñānaṃ jāyate
112. Knowledge arises for wise people through inquiry into the truth and through desireless action, when their darkness has waned and their selves are pure.
