विना दीक्षां न मोक्षः स्यात्तदुक्तं शिवशासने ।
सा च न स्याद्विनाचार्यमित्याचार्यपरम्परा ॥३॥

3. vinā dīkṣāṁ na mokṣaḥ syāttaduktaṁ śivaśāsane ,

3. Without initiation, there cannot be liberation. That has been stated in the scriptures of Shiva. And that (initiation) cannot happen without a teacher - thus (is) the tradition of teachers.
