योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-56, verse-32

कारणेन विनोदेति न कदाचन कस्यचित् ।
भावना काचिदपि नो इति निश्चयवान्भव ॥ ३२ ॥

bhāvanā kācidapi no iti niścayavānbhava 32

32. Be certain of this: nothing ever arises without a cause, nor is any thought (bhāvanā) of anyone whatsoever without a cause.
