योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-9, verse-1

वाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
तच्छ्रुत्वा वचनं तस्य स्नेहपर्याकुलेक्षणम् ।
समन्युः कौशिको वाक्यं प्रत्युवाच महीपतिम् ॥ १ ॥
vālmīkiruvāca ,
tacchrutvā vacanaṃ tasya snehaparyākulekṣaṇam ,
samanyuḥ kauśiko vākyaṃ pratyuvāca mahīpatim 1
1. vālmīkiḥ uvāca tat śrutvā vacanam tasya snehaparyākulekṣaṇam
samanyuḥ kauśikaḥ vākyam pratyuvāca mahīpatim
1. Valmiki spoke: Having heard those words of his, uttered with eyes agitated by affection, Kaushika (Vishvamitra) angrily replied to the king.
